Applications Are Being Accepted on a Rolling Basis for the Social Sciences Career Readiness Internship Program (SSCRIP) until 8.29.25
The Social Sciences Career Readiness Internship Program (SSCRIP) is accepting applications from students who are majoring in the Social Sciences to participate in the 2025-2026 school year cohort.
The application deadline for incoming transfer students is rolling and final applications will be accepted August 29th, at 11:59pm. We encourage applications well in advance of the final 8.29.25 deadline and will let people know as we admit them to the cohort.
*Continuing students can also submit an application by the transfer student deadline. Priority for those applying after the first application deadline (June 6) will go to transfer students, and any additional continuing students will be admitted based on availability.

What year(s) in school is SSCRIP prioritizing?
- This program will give preference to applicants who have completed at least three years of coursework, including transfer eligible courses, by the start of the internship in summer 2026, and who expect to graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027. Sophomores and Seniors may be considered if space is available.
- First-generation college students, transfer students, and financial aid-eligible students are especially encouraged to apply.
What Is SSCRIP?
SSCRIP is a year-long program designed to provide undergraduate majors in the social sciences with the necessary tools to prepare themselves for the job market.
The program consists of the following integrated components:
- a year-long 1-unit professional development course – LS198 – that meets on Thursdays from 5-6:30 pm during the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters
- a pilot mentorship program incorporated into the Spring 2026 semester
- a stipend to cover unpaid or low-paying internships of 6-8 weeks in length
- Internship search advising
- access to a range of alumni-hosted internships, as well as some provided by partner organizations
Who Is Eligible for SSCRIP?
- Must be a registered student in the Social Sciences Division
- Priority will be given to applicants who are Juniors at the time of application
- First-generation college students, transfer students, and financial aid-eligible students are especially encouraged to apply.
